There are several types of nozzle aperture: φ1.0mm, φ1.5mm, φ2.0mm, φ2.5mm, φ3.0mm, etc. At present, the commonly used ones on the market are φ1.5mm and φ2.0mm, so what is the difference between these two?

1. Use a φ1.5mm nozzle for cutting plates below 3mm, so that the cut product will be thinner. If a φ2.0mm cutting nozzle is used, the cutting surface will be rougher, and there will be stains at the corners.

2. If a nozzle of φ1.5mm is used for cutting the plate of more than 3mm, the gas diffusion area is small, so it is not stable when used, but it can also be used. If φ2.0mm is used, the gas diffusion area is large and the gas flow speed will be slower, so the stability during cutting will be higher.

3. Nozzles of φ2.5mm and φ3.0mm are generally used when cutting plates above 10mm. From the above points, it can be seen that the size of the nozzle has a serious impact on the quality of cutting and perforation. At present, laser cutting nozzles with two apertures of φ1.5mm and φ2mm are commonly used in the market.

      Note: When the nozzle is deformed or there are melting stains on the nozzle, its impact on the cutting quality is the same as described above. Therefore, the nozzle should be placed carefully and not bumped to avoid deformation; the melting stains on the nozzle should be cleaned up in time . The quality of the nozzle has higher precision requirements during manufacturing, and the correct method is required during installation. If various conditions need to be changed during cutting due to the poor quality of the nozzle, the nozzle should be replaced in time.

The larger the aperture of the laser cutting nozzle, the worse the protection of the focusing lens, because a lot of debris will be splashed during the cutting process, which will bounce upward.
